Mold on a Leather Bag: Isolate, Identify the Material and Seek Suitable Care

If a bag develops suspected mold, stop using it and separate it from other belongings. Avoid shaking, blowing or repeatedly brushing it indoors. White marks are not enough to diagnose mold from a photograph, and they are not an instruction to apply alcohol, detergent or conditioner.
