Start with the version, not just PM, MM or GM
Neverfull sizes and versions need to be identified together with the material, reference and available item. A name used in an older listing is not sufficient to establish that it matches a current version.
The Louis Vuitton page cited below lists PM as 29 × 21 × 12 cm, MM as 47 × 28 × 14 cm and GM as 55 × 32 × 19 cm for the versions shown there. These are source-specific figures, not a replacement for measuring an older item.
Clarify where the width is measured
A tote can be wider at the opening than at its base. Ask whether a quoted width describes the mouth, bottom or another point, and request photographs with a ruler. Compare height and depth in the same way.
External measurements do not prove usable internal capacity. Compare the dimensions of your actual phone, wallet, documents or laptop with the opening and interior; do not assume a device fits from a size label.
Check carrying comfort
Ask for strap-drop measurements and a photograph demonstrating the measuring points. Think about your usual clothing, carrying position and the weight of the contents. A reference photograph on another person cannot predict your exact fit.
Look at handle roots, the opening, corners and base for wear or distortion. Ask about known repairs and how they affect daily carrying.
Distinguish materials and included accessories
Some versions combine coated canvas with leather trim. Care guidance for one part must not automatically be applied to the whole item. Record the exact material and known treatment history.
Confirm whether an inner pouch or other accessory is actually included. Do not infer this from another listing or a series photograph.
Compare a matched quotation
Compare the same version, size, condition and accessories, with dated quotations in the same currency. Current retail prices and pre-owned asking prices are different measures.
Send your preferred size, material, colour, acceptable wear and delivery region when enquiring. Request current item photographs and a complete quotation before deciding.
